Irene Soléa Antonellis, MA, LMHC, MT-BC is a psychotherapist, music therapist, educator, and mantra musician. She is recognized for her work with adolescents and adults over the past two decades, synthesizing an unusually diverse background in mindfulness-based expressive arts therapies; trauma-informed Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC); Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; Family Systems Therapy; Imago Relationship Therapy; Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART); music and spiritual studies.

Formerly serving as Clinical Director within the Justice Resource Institute, she holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and Music Therapy from Lesley University (Cambridge) and a Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies from The Trauma Center (Boston) under the direction of internationally-renown psychiatrist and bestselling author, Bessel Van Der Kolk, M.D.. She is a board-licensed psychotherapist (LMHC) and board-certified music therapist (MT-BC) within the United States, regularly presenting her work at professional conferences for the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA), American Music Therapy Association (AMTA), and the New England Region of the American Music Therapy Association (NER-AMTA). She is bilingual/bicultural and committed to her work with Spanish-speaking communities in the U.S. and Latin America.
Irene divides her time between homes in Ann Arbor, Boston, and Chiang Mai, Thailand. When not working with clients online or in-person, she is intermittently relaxing and adventuring with her two young daughters and husband, anthropologist, physician and author, Scott Stonington, M.D./Ph.D.
